Uyanaka Trust is committed to protecting children and vulnerable people from all forms of harm, abuse, neglect and exploitation. Safeguarding is embedded across all our programmes.
Our principles
Zero tolerance of abuse; the best interests of the child in all decisions; safe recruitment and vetting of staff and volunteers; confidential and accessible reporting; and prompt, survivor-centred response.
Reporting a concern
Anyone with a safeguarding concern can contact us confidentially at uyanakatrustzw@gmail.com or by phone. All concerns are taken seriously and handled sensitively.
Code of conduct
All representatives of Uyanaka Trust agree to a code of conduct that protects children and communities, and are trained on safeguarding responsibilities.
